episode 9: Life Goes On

okay.


so that was not the result i was expecting...at ALL really. 'pparently they fibbed to angie. not totally surprised. Alex going makes me a sad panda, cause he was a good ally. but...if you step back and look at everything....this REALLY could've gone a WHOOOOOOLE lot worse. now that mike is back from exile, our numbers are even 5v5, angie just told me she has a vote nullifier, andrea has her double vote, and i still have my idol. so our side is hoarding all the powers besides the auction idol, which is AWESOME news. we just gotta be reeeeally calculated this round in what we do. no room for errors of ANY sort.

in fact, i think i gained the respect of the other side for the way i handled last round. rodney and i talked after results where he told me "I think your were the only one who found me out. Mad respect" and we agreed to hold no beef over this and go back to our sperate sides. nat fessed up and told me she was the reason rod didn't go home, saying it was too risky for her to switch this late. the fact that she told me without playing any games is an ease on my mind, and honestly i can understand why she did what she did, so no biggie there. and erik is always his awesome self.

so yeah, i'm not in the absolute best position, but i'm actually okay about where i stand. pretty much everyone now knows i have an idol, and quite frankly i'm not too perturbed by it. like i told nat, I sure as hell ain't gonna waste it.

aight, i'mma prepare myself for this challenge. i plan on beasting this thing. for real. THIS ROUND IS GONNA BE STRAIGHT WARFARE.

Can I just talk about a little personal revelation I had just now.

While I was looking at the Rites of Passage for Conquest, Spencer talked about how much he thought my game sucked. Like, he was like "Yeah Frank's kinda out there, he played a pretty terrible game and I don't know much about him other then his samurai movies so yeah."

And that's been most people's impressions of my performance in games, that I'm awful and I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing, and that I play way too hard and get voted out pre merge.

With all that in mind, it makes the events of last night just THAT much sweeter. Having people come up to me saying "I respect what you're doing even though I'm on the opposing side" just makes it worth it to know that maybe I DON'T suck as much as people like to say I do.

And because of that, this game has been worth it. I could get voted out soon or I could make FTC, but no matter the outcome of the game I'm glad I decided to play it.

Aight, so the plan this round is to vote out Shirin, the logic in that being she's mostly just a harmless follower, and the brains will be expecting us to vote for someone like Erik or Rod so they can idol them, HOWEVER this won't be the case, and we'll send Shirin home, get better numbers for next round and hopefully flush out the one unaccounted for idol in the game. that's the plan.

angie is concerned they have the double vote on the other side, not knowing andrea has it, so hopefully we can just do this vote without having her freak out too much over it, but if she does I MAAAAAAAY have to have andrea come clean about having it to her.

colby for sure thinks that he's going to be the one getting votes on our side, having told rod he's given up on the game and that he's ready to be done with it. i don't know how true that is, he could be just speaking wishfully but i dunno. rob burned him preeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty fucking hard last round, hence's colby's angry tirade against him in the challenge thread. colby had put all his trust into rod, and for rod to just betray him like he did is mind blowing to colby. i think colby forgot to realize that he's playing survivor and shit like this happens ON THE REGULAR, but i dunno, maybe colby is just that emotional. who knows.
